Speed

This week’s photography assignment was ‘Speed’. I set this to test our students’ control of shutter speeds. In the course, we look create long exposures and freezing the action shots with creative uses of the shutter! This puts that knowledge to the to the test and boy did they do that!

From the gallery of entries, the people’s vote goes to Eddie Paget. Really great response to the theme and a great control of technique to get the hand in this judder look. This is achieved by stopping and starting the hand movement during the exposure. Well done Eddy, a deserved peoples’ vote.

My vote this week goes to Rita Kelly for this long exposure shot of cars on a dual carriage way. I like this shot because of its composition and star bursts of the lights. The car lights curve through the frame and off into the distance really well. Well done Rita 😊
