The Great Outdoors - BenQ Competition Winner

Thank you to everyone who joined in on our BenQ competition. We had some amazing entries, and it was hard for us to pick what we thought was the best. Please remember these are ‘our’ favourites and in this subjective world of photography, your favourites are just as valid. To see all entries, please search for the tag #tsopandbenq on Instagram.

Your theme was ‘The Great Outdoors’. This could have been on your daily walks, your outdoor activities, in the garden or the vast expanses of rolling hills and mountain ranges. We wanted you to get creative with your camera and inspire you to get out taking photos as we come out of lockdowns.

The Prize

A fantastic BenQ SW240 PhotoVue Photographer Professional Monitor with Adobe RGB and IPS

This is a fantastic monitor for photographers looking for accurate colours on screen and in print. It has specifically been designed for photographers and features a 99% Adobe RGB Colour Space and IPS technology, which in short means you will see approximately 30% more colour than a normal monitor and be able to calibrate it and get colours accurate easily.

The Judging

For the judging of this competition, Marc Newton was joined by professional landscape photographer Tom Archer. Tom is an award-winning Landscape Photographer with an impressive client list including Google, Panasonic, Booking.com, MySwitzerland, Tourism Ireland and Destination Canada to name but a few.

Tom is currently producing a pro landscape photography course with TSOP which will be released soon. In the course, he shows you how he creates his epic Landscape style from planning to shooting to editing. He will then show you how to turn this passion into a career by sharing his knowledge on the business of landscape photography. To sign up for a pre-release discount, click here.

Check out Tom’s Instagram here.

We narrowed down the 100’s of entries to 5 shortlisted pictures. In the video, we discussed the shortlisted photos and Tom has the final say on the winning picture. Congratulations to all that entered, take a look at our winning choices below.
